Trip Details

This river’s take out and put in are very close to residential and high-traffic roads. Be aware as you change and set shuttle/run laps. Parking is available at the Critters Creek Parking Area, below the Easley Central Dam. Do not drive up the private driveway as you will block the landowners that live at the end of that road. A trail leads from the parking area to the river, and paddlers can walk along the banks closer to the dam to begin their trip. Once on the river, Lay Bridge Road is the next road crossing. Take out is located downstream of the bridge, river left. This trip includes many exciting Class I-IV rapids and is especially exciting after large rain events.
