The 1-mile marked canoe trail at Woods Bay State Park will guide you through part of one of the last remaining intact Carolina Bays, a unique landform in the Coastal Plain region. Eighty-one bird species in several unique habitats have been reported within the park. See wildlife such as alligators, herons, egrets, and osprey and unique flora such as the bladderwort and the insect-eating pitcher plant.

The canoe trail at Woods Bay is subject to fluctuating water levels. At times the waters are too low for navigation. Please contact the park directly for current trail conditions.
Private canoes and kayaks are allowed in the park. Canoe rentals are also available. Admission to the park is free.
