Trip Details

The Charlie Lollis Memorial Park is a short ten minute drive from Dunklin Bridge Road; shuttling cars should take less than half an hour. Put in on the upstream river left side of the Dunklin Bridge Road bridge. Limited roadside parking is available. There are no road crossings between the put in and take out, and the scenery is primarily wooded. There are a few small Class I-II rapids. The trip ends just downstream of the W. Main Street bridge, river right, at the newly opened Charlie Lollis Memorial Park.

Ran at approx. 5.15ft. Ran into some sandbars. Lots of wood in this section and lots of trash. No houses in site and no access to a road beside the river. The last rapid, just before the take out bridge can be portaged on river right. Best route down on this day was far river left to center left.

Shallow with downed trees at the beginning. Gets better the further you go. DON'T TRY TO RIDE THE RAPIDS NEAR THE END THAT ARE WITHIN SITE OF THE TUMBLING SHOALS BRIDGE!
