Paddled on 12/2/2021. River level 5.95 ft Dillon gauge, https://waterdata.usgs.gov/sc/nwis/current/?type=flow, This level is low water. River was open and doable at this level. Trees and debris in water, occasional submerged snag but an easy paddle with some maneuvering. No portages encountered at this time but this river is constantly changing and new downfall is common. Hwy 9 is not a friendly launch/take-out, it's a long walk from the bridge abutment to the edge of the river, through swamp that can be flooded at higher levels. Suggest putting in at Stafford Bridge U.S. 301 crossing and paddling down 8+ miles to Dillon County Park Landing on S.C.57
