The closest take-out downstream of Pelham Mill Park is Fountain Inn Road, approximately 12.25 miles downstream. Mostly flat in nature sandwiched between Class II rapids on either end of the trip.
This park's focal point is the Enoree River and an overlook where visitors can view architectural remains of the first textile mill in Greenville County (outside the City limits). River access is downstream of the masonry dam, river-left.
This access is a put-in or take-out only. No roadside parking is available. Please unload boats and put-in downstream of the bridge, river-right. Please do not leave cars along the road's shoulder.
Fountain Inn Road is 20 minutes away from Pelham Mill Park, so shuttling cars could take close to an hour. Paddlers should put in below the dam at Pelham Mill Park. After putting in, paddlers will encounter some whitewater; Pelham Falls, a small waterfall, is located a mile downstream of the park. Fountain Inn Road is the 5th bridge after putting in. Take out on the right side of the river, downstream of the bridge.
